Bridges I wish I hadn't walked

I watched from the window of my house,
watched the sun fall down,
amazed I was as soon as it went dark.

My memories were whirling in my mind,
thoughts from here and from there,
couldn't mend this time,
and I remembered the bridges I passed.

I dream of bridges burning,
reminds me of the sun,
and then I brood:
"Bridges I wish I hadn't walked".

Since you took the time to read/review a poem of mine, thought I'd do the same:) Caught my eye with this title. "Bridges" .. crossed with trepidation .. not always the outcome we'd like/expect on the other side. Sometimes we like the side we're on .. no want or need to cross or burn it. You captured this so perfectly. Really like your word use & manipulation to grab & hold the reader. So much emotion in so few words. Fantastic write. Glad I "stumbled" upon it ...

I tend to work around short poems, trying to convery something in less words makes it much more deep and thought provoking. I dearly thank you for reviewing this and I promise to review yours more :)
