The escapee

The escapee

A Poem by The Enemy

In a wood far away
The dirty tramp escaped one day
He got out of the stairwell door
And through a tunnel underneath the floor
A fire exit was the goal
Escaping with the key the cleaner stole
Hitched 2 lifts from passersby
Then living like a firefly
Using torches he lived in wood
Forest floor is where he stood
With a tent that his bro gave
And sleeping bag to the warmth he saved
He escaped the nut house as I didn't like staff
They had a job but where bloody naff
Couldn't sort his life out there
Instead he escapes through fire door. Stair

Reminds me a bit of Heller's Catch-22, meets Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Living like a firefly, as are we all.
