Boy In The BoxA Poem by The Elusive Mr DunneBoy In The Box"Boy In The Box" My nude body wrapped in a cheap blanket, lying face up in a cardboard box/ My hair cut crude and hurried, as a deliberate attempt to conceal who I was Both of my arms were carefully folded, and then placed across my little chest/ My finger and toenails trimmed short and neat, just shortly before my death Many bruises covering my little body, particularly on my head and tiny face/ An unidentified Caucasian male, reported as being between four & six in age Although most solutions are dismissed, there still stands two of great interest/ Among both the police and the media, both investigated yet still no arrests The first involves a foster home, an unmarried Mother and an accidental death/ The second involves being bought by a woman, for extreme physical & abusive sex The foster home investigations involving DNA tests, are now considered closed/ While the second solution is plausible, and due to mental illness, police took note Neighbours claimed the claims were ridiculous, as a boy didn't live in the house/ And although both solutions are suspicious, there is no evidence to why or how Yet despite my profile on America's most wanted, and huge publicity at the time/ I'm still that boy in the box nobody wanted, that little boy who you pay no mind.
