Darker Moon

Darker Moon

A Poem by Mr Whiskers

With my back to the sky I loom

Staring down onto pieces of illusion

Starry dreams can do nothing for me

The dark side of the moon has shown me his face

A leer I will not likely forget....

I can only turn away from the countenance

Looking for nothing, yet I cannot stop

Searching

Any sort of sense has left

All traces of worldly logic gone

I have left only a strained heart

I have but this deceit in me

No one would dare part me with it

If they could even find a seam...

Seem to blot out night sky

Towering over a realization long buried in snow banks of my mind

There is nothing to fight about, no battle to ensue

It is neither triumph nor defeat

Only....only an end

And yet, isnt the end only ever the beginning?
