Erase Or Save

Story of my life

Would you erase me if I gave you the pencil

or would you record my every word?

Would you delete me if you had the memory card

or save me to your desktop?

Would you lock my doors if you found the key

or wear it around your neck for me?

You're a liar, just like me

whether I like it or not.

But if you had the power, would you unplug me

or would you turn me on?

If you held the mouse would you recycle

or copy & paste me?

Would you kill me if you held the morphine

or kill my pain with boundless love?

What does it even mean if my words are floating into empty space

never to reach the underbelly of a nightmare

or the tips of my wings as I fly away...

What does it matter now?

Cold steel isn't always sharp...

Would you erase me from the tape if you found my voice there

Or would you...listen?

This was a good write, but I feel that you could really improve upon it. The drastic change in imagery in the line "Would you kill me if you held the morphine or kill my pain with boundless love," seemed to change the entire flow of the poem and through me around a little. Perhaps a little revision in meter and flow and a few replacements concerning clich�d vocabulary and this would be a fantastic write, but as it is, I feel it is only good.

oh i would so erase you..... haha just playing i really enjoyed this write... plenty of questions to someone!!! Maybe someone special??? Im not sure but i really thoguht this was a brillant write with a easy to read lingo behind it!!!
