AlaskaA Poem by MrTheatric
Why can't we backtrack to Heyday?
How did this ever go south? I thought we could communicate Before you would just shut me out I thought I was your wormhole Where you could fill all your thoughts. What knocks around your dark dave, girl? Is this all the time I bought? I keep rolling in your soft whispers. Back when I was your whole world. Even now it's just so recent. I guess you're just a shapeshifting blur I lived to light up your shadows. While you gave me burnt cauterized heart. You held my hand through the battle Now the Crusade's come to start Let's send you to Alaska Where you said you always wanted to go. I hope you get lost in the tundra. I hope you freeze off all your toes. I'm sending you to Alaska. To get away from all the other lost souls I came to find you're my iceberg baby. Should have known you were this cold Two bodies clasped in a graveyard. Embracing as two in one. You are the lone security guard. Who can't stand the rays of the Sun I dubbed you pallid princess. But you were more like a witch. Your hull so light like paper. Now I've got cuts all over my skin I entrusted you my demons. You could shut down my walls. You just wanted to peer in. You said you weren't like them at all. It's not about the leaving. But the patterns you spun in your web. They leave me caught in confusion. Just how much blood do I have left? Let's send you to Alaska So you can just blend into snow. Your black heart shows through your paper skin. Was burning me down your goal? You're banished to Alaska in a lone cabin afar And in time you will bury yourself In an avalanche of shattered hearts Oh babayaga
