The Devil From the Abyss

The Devil From the Abyss

A Poem by HadesRising
"

All I see is black Nothing but darkness It consumes me

"

All I see is black
Nothing but darkness
It consumes me

A con man with a forked tongue and charming smile
Walking a desert mile
A briefcase in hand, a stack of forms
A coming storm
A desperate man with a soul to sell
Oh, eternal Hell

“Dear sir, I can make your problems go away,”
Lies drip from what he say
But like any fool, I am all ear
Truth is what I hear
A surge of power is what I feel
Drop of blood, done deal

Power, untold - Pain, unfold
Vengeance, the damned - Death, by my hand
I see the human flesh split across the skull
Red eyes, never dull
A shroud of darkness drapes his wicked form
His face, a blackened storm
By his command, I am forced to kneel
By his word, I must kill

Power, untold - Pain, unfold
Vengeance, the damned - Death, by my hand

All I see is black
Nothing but darkness
It consumes me
As it will consume you.
