And Ode to a Tardy Slip

Oh, those pesky tardy slips! They always manage to absolutely ruin your day, and put you in a terrible mood. But don't they deserve to be loved too? P.S. This is doggerel

Oh, you tardy slip

That makes so many student's yell "S**t"

Have you ever felt love,

or fit i just right like a glove?

Or have you known only hate and despair

Abhored even more than a bad day of hair!

For you I feel so much more pity

Than any lost puppy or kitty

You only get thrown out, cast away,

Much like oil in Mexico's bay.

You, my friend, I will keep for always!
