A Poem by Jason
"

This piece is for Lady V, she doesn't know about it either, so i hope she likes it.

"

The Strongest Black Woman I know
Even though I know you died inside
I’m sure when you were alone you cried
I can imagine the bone chillin’ scream of
“Oh God Nooo”
When you heard what can have only been a lie
The anger that comes with thoughts of revenge
The frustration of having to relive those dreadful moments
Over and over to find worldly justice
And finally a peace that came with
Knowing that He may not have come when you called
But was right on time
With a conscience that was heavy with guilt
So the verdict was the same
Still the scars will forever remain
Drowned out by the light of
The Strongest Black Woman I know

Awh. This is beautiful and greatly appreciated. You have become a great and true friend. I mean that with all my heart.

I have come through alot of things and by far this has been the hardset. Yet with every situation comes a lesson. We may not see it but we always feel it.

Thank you Mr. Scott.

Great tribute to a wonderful woman. Short but very powerfully written and I understand why you wrote it. I know she appreciates it, and without commenting on the heart of the piece, I stay with the reason behind it. Good pen....

The 2nd stanza is my favorite.
Remorse, hopelessness, and respect is what this poem consists of.

Without knowing the background of this piece it's hard to really get the depth behind the meaning of your words.....however......these words definitely evoked strong emotions:

"I'm sure when you were alone you cried
I can imagine the bone chillin' scream of
"Oh God Nooo"
When you heard what can have only been a lie
The anger that comes with thoughts of revenge
The frustration of having to relive those dreadful moments

Great job!
