The SameA Poem by Jason
You want it so I’m going to give it!
But know that things must still remain,
Some what the same.
I’ll still speak when I’m with my “mans and them”,
But my words will have underlying secrets.
Eye contact will still be made from afar,
Yet our visions will be of moaning and pounding walls.
Still things must remain,
Some what the same.
In public no pet names,
For we wouldn’t want everyone to know
That on my chin you made it rain.
Fast moving lips will only lead too
Heartache and pain.
No worries rest your brain
All this rules for you
I must also do
So we can continue to do what we do.
We live in a small town,
So doom would be spelled out
If everyone knew what we do.
I’m not sure if I’m ready to be locked down.
Yet there is something about you,
That makes me want to stay true.
Who would have knew that from one dance
“Us” could start a romance.
I want to but I’m afraid.
Afraid of giving love a chance.
That’s why things must remain,
Some what the same.
