Independence

Independence

A Poem by Jason

I am a lonely giant
Independent and self-reliant
I can tolerate noise, but I enjoy my silence
I’m just in the world trying to find that perfect balance

Enter into my mind
And see the books of poetry, the photographs, and the love of science
Travel to my soul
Attempt my road, walk over the hot coals
Reach my center of warmth
Only to be engulfed by the cold.

it seems you have a tight grip on who you are. i like the word "giant" it reminded me of jack and the beanstalk, but yours was in a completely different context. the title, INDEPENDNACE, pulled me in. nice title. thanks for sharing

Very nicely done.

I am a lonely giant
Independent and self-reliant
I can tolerate noise, but I enjoy my silence
I'm just in the world trying to find that perfect balance

This describes my eldest son.
