Misplaced Love

Misplaced Love

A Poem by Johnny Blade

I saw her sitting on the beach, with the shoreline just beyond her reach.
It was such a beautiful sight that I dream of her most every night.
I come back same time of year, to try to find that angel here.
15 years and no such luck, friends say time to give it up.
30 years since that fateful night, when I saw the most beautiful sight.
I never gave up on my hope, now tomorrow we elope.
We sit together on the beach, with the shoreline just beyond our reach.
Together at last or so it would seem, I wake up alone it was just a dream.
