It's Raining in Hell

It's Raining in Hell

A Poem by Deonte Briddell

The world is dark. Hell has opened. Rain is falling. How did we get here?
When speaking of Hell, there is no Satan, there is no Hades. We weren't forced here by a god. In fact there is no god.
There is only our soul, we are our own gods.
But something has happened. We are trapped here and cannot move on.
Now when we perish, its absolutely over.
Nothing else will ever exist, not even this universe we have all created for ourselves.
What caused this outage of life? What is on the last page?
Or is the last page blank and actually a figurative expiration date?
Does the "book" even exist or did I just hit my head during my fall off my pedestal?
I don't know.
But I do know that i'll see you in Hell. Bring an umbrella.
                   .
