Taxus Baccata

Taxus Baccata

A Poem by Mr.Boffin

I saw upon the yew,
a soft, bright aril;
a lust red --
upon a skewed
bough.

I looked a leaf --
spiraling  upon the stem.
the current flutters,
the leaf puttering down,
as the wan tree mutters.

so I outstretch my arm,
the lorn leaf in my hand.
