l'île la plus proche du paradis

l'île la plus proche du paradis

A Poem by Mr.Boffin

a Kagu
on a branch --
ashen-grey, and white
upon its frame;

a gilted
Sunne --
arises, through hills
of tree-dark green,
past baby blue, and
streaks of white

on foreshore
past berms, and
Seacliffs;
Jetsam trickling down...

pallid Man
with white-sick Frown
lolling down
upon the mound;
pondering: Flotsam,
Arrogate,
Trick-taking...
a Bee, flying, spiraling
upon his nape.

My friend, this is Canadiana at its best, Bravo.

thanks :) just made my day!
I like the way you contrast the Kagu's natural colouring with white-sick man. While the bird is born with its plumage, man looks sickly through his neglect of nature, the paradise that is so close at hand and that tends to get overlooked. Very well done.
