Chance of chances

Chance of chances

A Poem by MrBlack202

A thought that I was never taught. A decision made in confusion, that led to a single conclusion. With a feeling of spectrum, having deeper meaning. I stood a chance, and at first glance a second chance. The uncertainty of fear was here, and as it whispers the heart could hear. Time grew wings and flew, I was here without a clue.

there is so much to unpack in this short piece. it is full of deep and complex ideas and yet it did not feel overwhelming. a bit like a string of thoughts spoken by a drunk man on a bar stool, this work reads like a rare moment of vulnerability. unwilling or unable to fully express one's confusion, yet while trying to articulate it, hitting on a deep insight. the last line in particular struck a chord with me. i know very well the feeling like you don't belong.
a very memorable work. one that i related to strongly.
