Gentle words

I stumbled over my words, and my heart is racing against my mind. An internal conflict arised, leaving all logical reasoning behind. The gap shortens, before the warm embrace of two souls. The gap widens, after silent words remain unspoken. Time passes by, senses return, and these gentle words preserved.

this so artfully captures that moment one says the three magical words for the first time. i know the feeling of your heart beating inside your head. it was intense and terrifying. but it is the greatest thing one can do in life. to express love, there is no other war worth fighting. beautiful words, the rhymes were catchy and it takes me back to that time...
