A house on the beach

A house on the beach

A Poem by Mr. Bird

a passed up vacation for a house on the beach
you get what you want
closed off
isolated
so far away the emerald waves can't reach us
the only existence is the pupils in our eyes
wandering left to right, carrying heavy irises
mine forever changing to the color of your shirt
yours stay still
flickering memories
eyelids closing to the feel of my hand on your leg
a house on the beach, within a house on the beach
so far away the ever-changing colored waves cant reach you
but ill play in the sand
and listen to the wind
the wooden door whipping open and closed
open
and closed
you get what you want
