A Poem by Mr. Bird

Let us kill ourselves slowly, together
I say slowly
so i can soak in every bit of carbon dioxide you exhale
and with every bit of oxygen i inhale
i'll float on your words
my motivation to die ever so slowly
from lust to pure intoxication
i'm overwhelmed
be it my native american adrenaline
or the hopeless romantic in me
you were the cigarette in my hand
not an addiction i can't shake
but the risk i chose to take
a roll of the dice
whatever number
it was always you
a preemptive strike on my mind
the betrayal of the three hundred Spartans
i was both sides
you were the goat path
i was pleased to meet you
