An Apple Fell

An Apple Fell

A Poem by MrBeardM
"

Nature.

"
And when the man got up and sighed,
Taking out his axe.
He shot the bird and cut the tree,
Back down to relax.
-
And the next day, did the same,
Only to reload.
The song was dead, the tree aflame,
And he hit the road.
-
The tree grew back, a bird arose,
The man starved not far.
A song was played, an apple fell,
That is how things are.

And so it goes, metaphorically and historically: tear down the needed if you must but, think: the more you hurt and kill, the weaker you become. Cruelty, spite and arrogance tears the spirit apart until there's nothing left

The man starved not far.
A song was played, an apple fell,
That is how things are.'

A nice picture of the ongoing way of life in this physical sphere. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
