Goodnight

Goodnight

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

I found fame and folly
And i wanted to share
I found a young heart
That i thought just might care

I thought i could rewright
What i couldn't rewind
I didn't know i'd be shattered
By what i would find

There were too many times
When i'd given my all
There were too many scars
From every time i would fall

I thought i would try
Just one more time if i dare
All that i found
Was a blank loving stare

It's time i found sleep
Maybe this time i won't wake
I just keep givingv and giving
When they only take

It's starting to feel like winter
Almost every day
Turns out the price for love
Was too high to pay

I was left with a feeling of wanting to be able to mend your heart though I can't. I felt a cold wind on my shoulder as I read this, and I was left feeling sad. My words can't even express how I wish I had a magic wand.

Your writing is always so deep and soulful. I really can pick up a lot from these, and feel a sense of enlightenment almost (I apologize for my spelling) but yes, that was wonderful! Awesome job!

I almost forgot about your writing until I saw your review of my poem. I remeber you have crazy writing skills that people like myself only dream of. this piece took me back a few months when I was entertained one day by reading poem after poem of yours. Thanks for keeping the creativity and bring me back to talent. I really like the pieces you create. The journey is fun and very revealing and full of life experiences. Standing "O".
