Oh, wow. Love the ending. I try not to guess the ends of a poem as I work may way through it, but you gave such a nice surprise at the end! I was already feeling that guilt as I read it, thinking, "Yes, I know this is all so true. I know these things, and I know I am one who can and does gossip from time to time." Then the end came! Slap! Back to reality!
Now if this poem doesn't reach everyone on a personal level, some are just not being honest!
ah...oh man.. this is goooood.. I love first of all that you chose the color red, it gave those words even more of a visual.. I work in an office, and I know more than a few people like this..

It's pretty sad that most people are that way.
Their lives are so dull that they must talk about others because of the envy how much more interesting.
I like how you made it a trio.
They can play against one another.
Interesting.
And depressing.
Humanity can be quite disappointing.
The title is very apt, "The trio will part, When three become two then after you've left, They will gossip of you", so sadly true. "Spreading rumors of lies and deceit", such a hurtful/harmful thing to do, yet it happens every day. I agree with Emma, the moral is clear, and that is most important. Maybe one of those "three" wll read this and stop and take a look at themselves and their "friends" who have nothing better to do then try and harm others with their lies. A good write and ever better read. Kuddos my friend. ;)
That is sooooo true! lol - it's not really laughable but shows the weakness of human nature. How many times I've thought that when people have sidled up to natter about someone... argh.. so mean.
While you're talking about someone behind his or her back, someone's doing the same about you... not a nice thing to face.
They breed bitter resentment
For each other to eat
Spreading their rumors
Of lies and deceit
Rather like the game Chinese Whispers, everything's distorted and ends up hurting.
You've created a poem that's easy to understand in both style and wording. The moral's clear too.. and that's the most important. Good for you, and, thank you for sharing.
oh you did a great job here ,yes people have a very bad habit of gossiping all the time spreading hate among all people, nobody is spared that hate, they want it to grow more and more ,too bad this is the kind of society they want ,just breed more and more hate,
Oh yes...this is how it is! Those who talk the most are also most loose about their own secrets with each other and live to speak about each other as well. Personally, I know they don't wait for you to leave either anymore...ha ha! Crazy! You did this well with that last line to show just how bad they are! No one is safe even among themselves! You've been watching too many gossips I fear! Take care..ha ha!
Gossips!!How i hate them.
Gossips had destroyed lots of relationships between people, and i admire you for coming up with a poem about this act (aside from war and cheating) where everyone loses as God continues to "keep Score"
I was born in Texas October of 1966. Raised in California where i fell in love with music and art. I came from a large , poor family where the most valuable thing we ownwed was our love for each other.. more..
