Dreamer

Dreamer

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

I dream a lot

Like most of us

I’m listening for what is said

He speaks to me

 In dreams He does

With images in my head

While I’m awake

I hear him too

But in sleep I see instead

The message is not always clear

But my soul is always fed

He rids me of my pain

Like an old skin that I shed

I can’t wait to hear what’s next

While sleeping in my bed

Time after time we all await for this special someone to appear and talk to us again. It happens occasionally, it's so special. This poem reminds me of these few dialogues I've had. I call them dialogues, because I believe we talk back, we listen and give answers ourselves. Magic dances and rains all around. Fantastic. I used to call it flying. It feels like flying, this poem knows how it is to fly. Love it. Only I'd like to add, that some characteristics in this poem feel unfinished, they're asking for completion (who might it actually be speaking to us? I feel that there might be times when we should be afraid of him (is it so?) and how can he speak when we're awake ;) But the beauty hides in the short and powerful message, yes. My questions are my questions ;)

That is a fun piece and true. I enjoy dreams and it does seem as if at times God reviews my mental energy and relieves stress through my dreams. Thanks for this good write my friend.

Ah I love it!! lol
Truly -- I do the same thing.
I actually wake up and write my dreams
down and then analyze them later. :P
Yes, I believe we are guided through dreams
if we pay attention. I also believe that "gut"
feeling (we don't see) that tells us which direction to take
or not take (our inner voice) is guiding us and
should be listened to! If we "feel" badly in
someway about a choice we make, turn it around, quickly!

This is quite clever ML.
Love the rhyme scheme
and even more so, the message!

As always, great job!!
