Silly Little MomentsA Poem by Mr. LopezStill is the air in the night as I drive beneath a cloudless sky. Accompanied by the moon and more stars then I could ever Count even if I lived to be a million years old. Still is my love by my side, undisturbed as I drive. Not awake on this night. The moons light finds her Supple cheek to rest upon while she lies safe and unstirred. I preserve this moment in time, not knowing why. Captured and bottled ,It will be stored along side my love deep within the recesses of my heart
How could this moment be so important to me? This silly little moment of mine. Surely There would be countless others like it for years to come. Forever more It would be years before I would know the answer To this question. Storms would come and storms Would go to assure that love would never grow I would visit this moment and others like it That I have collected over the years to find comfort In their warmth. These silly little moments of mine. These precious little moments in time. Still is the air in the night , now I stand beneath cloudless Skies. Under the same stars that I could never count Even if I lived to be a million years old. Accompanied By the moon whose light will not find on this night Her supple cheek to rest upon, by my side……….. Forever more.
