Spare change

Spare change

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

What if Jesus came to earth in a disguise?

And he asked you for help

While looking you in the eyes

But instead of giving this man

A hand full of change

You say nothing and walk past

Because this man looked strange

Later, in your office,

You get this pain in your chest!

The next thing you know

Your family is putting you to rest

You then find yourself
before a blinding light

That dims just enough

That you regain your sight

Imagine your embarrassment

When you finally see

A familiar face that says

“Remember me?”

This reminds me of the scripture out of Hebrews that talks about us entertaining angels unaware. I try to follow those promptings that come from the Lord when a need is set before me, but in my humanness I know I have also missed some of the divine appointments set before me. Thank God He doesn't condemn us when we miss it! Another great write!

hhahahhahhh you're silly :P :P but i like how you lightened this concept up a bit - because it is something that holds truth; we should always be kind.

hugs
