Wild Flower

Wild Flower

A Poem by Mr. Lopez
"

Just another cheesy love poem

"

Come and take a walk with me for a while

Maybe somewhere along the way

We can find the reasons why

We fell in love

Come and take my hand for just a while

We can count the leaves on all the trees

And forget the tears that fell

From you and me

Won’t you take a walk with me?

Down memory lane

Even though we both know

It can’t ever be the same

Come and smile with me for just a while

You can keep the wild flowers that I picked for you

As a reminder that I will never stop loving you

Hold the dreams close to your heart

In those dreams we can never be apart

Come and laugh with me for just a while

And remember we can’t wipe away the years

Of you and me

I can't see the forest for the trees, meaning that I am not able to look at the structure, because of the feelings that I get from these words. (Good writing.) Memories, memories, and more memories, if I wanted to remember so much, but it reflects back into some that were better off not having any wild flowers picked for. Love never dies but it is better to love again than to stay in the flower beds until the red bugs bite. The best part about love is the good memories. That is why flowers keep blooming, they remember how to do it all over again.

This isn't the least bit cheesy! It is from your heart! Bravo!

A tear shed I love it. It shows a way of letting go but holding on at the same time. Very well done

oooh, this was so warm and sweet! Walking memory lane is always best with a friend. time's shared moments etched in the emotions of life; bubbled free for a day remembering the bliss.

Wonderful poem! It brings many memories back into the light.

Cheesy would not be the words for this one.

My favorite part -

We can't wipe away the years of you and me.

I have learned that memories will always exist. I get pure pleasure out of knowing that I don't have to hold onto the bad memories, that I can forever hold the happiness, the tears of joy, all of the times my heart felt good when I was in love with a man that loved me so much. This poem is beautiful. You touched my heart as you were able to get words out that I haven't been able to get out. You should be so proud of how you are able to break through the barrier even though you have been hurt in life, and you still show the world that you have a heart, so pure and true.

Wonderful write!

Love poems are never cheesy, and this one is so tender and touching. It reminds me of a song, I can't think of who wrote it, but she speaks of how he gave her flowers and now the flowers are frozen in a pond. Hm, I want to sing your words in a melancholy tone.

Nice job.

This poem is my life.
I wish Alex would read it.
I spent all day with him today and I felt like this all day.
I just wanted him to hold my hand and we could pretend for a while.
I know we will never go back...but just to pretend.
Ah
This poem is amazing and beautiful.
I love it.
