When I first decided to give complete control of my life over to a higher power I realized that significant change is in order. No longer will I play the spiritual hokey pokey with one foot in and one foot out. Or turn myself around only to find that I’ve turned myself about. When we change through resolution and confession rather then through blame or victimization you will then begin to see the benefits of those changes in your life. Our views of our responsibility for our own lives change and we grow into the beings that we are meant to be. The winds of change will start to sculpt you into the masterpiece that you are intended to be. If you go through life playing the blame game or being a victim of circumstance in order to cover up your sins with the sins of others, you will never grow. Always going through life with one foot in and that’s not what it’s all about. If you go through life playing the spiritual hokey pokey, you will find yourself always sending God a fox hole prayer of promises to turn your life around with both feet in. You have to live the change if you expect to benefit from doing so. When we stand on the rock of faith, we then are able to face the conflicts in our lives with strength to surpass and evolve as individuals. When I surrender my all to my god I no longer lean on my old ways of thinking and give the keys to my life to him. This is a spiritual message not a religious one. We all have a different perception or definition of god, for those of us who believe. Whatever your relationship with him is or your beliefs of a higher power are, know that his mission for you is to color your character and decide the fabric of our temperament. To sculpt you through conflict and resolution. With forgiveness we learn to let go of resentments and put faith in God in ways we never thought we would. I now embrace the changes to my life with faith in him, that when I emerge from the conflicts of life I will have changed for the better .Having learned something about myself from them. I have not lived a perfect life but when I now stand surrounded by walls of fire in conflict I know I will emerge from the fires a better man. This is necessary for growth and my growth begins with faith in God and change of heart.
