~Poseidon~

~Poseidon~

A Story by Mr.Allegory

The salty winds of the night air fills his senses as he looks out at the raging sea. The dark sky covered in even darker clouds with the occasional flash of lighting and boom of thunder. The rain feels cold against his skin. Every inch of him goose flesh. Just minutes ago everything was calm, but such are the ways of life at sea.

He peers out into the distance trying to spot a lighthouse, a close haven. his eyes are nearly blinded by the treacherous wind; the small boat getting tossed around like a cheap rag doll. His luck has run out. He knows he is going to die. What could he do? And with that, he leaps carelessly from the splintered boat and into the cold, dark, and murky waters. The impact stung his skin briefly. His lungs fill with salt water and his vision blurs

With the last of his might he opens his eyes only to see Poseidon laughing in a hysterical manner. Crazed.

Great. Wonderful imagery; this vignette plunges (nopunintended) the reader directly into the story. I'm still mulling over the last line.
