Backyard battleA Poem by DONNA WEBBERA poem about the Battle of fighting weeds
A short poem about one of my pet peeves........
Dandelions, how the beckon me claiming my moments of rest. Always popping up without notice boasting with bright yellow chest Nestled in my labored lawn they petition with anchored grips Folded leaves rest on sturdy stems with defiance as hands on hips I plead, I beg, I battle each day constantly challenged by their tease. Each time I reach the root of the problem they conspire with a summers breeze. I dare not let my neighbors know that I am defeated by their power For how can someone five foot two admit to mutiny by a three inch flower By donnalee webber © 2017 DONNA WEBBERFeatured Review
