ETCHINGS OF A JOURNEY


Mist blew off the river
gentle as a young bride's vale
inviting springs curtsey to waltz
whispers of splendour's trail

Promenades of promise beckons
each patient weeping willows hand
Ever graceful her branches swaying
with anchored elegance of stand

Songs of summer's promise
echo from feathered perch
Sweet harmonies on cradled wind
Rising high as the tallest birch

Sun kissed reflected waters
unfold with shadowed hue
pastel etchings on scattered shore
adorning tinted sky of blue

A rivers mystic journey
A woodlands humble hush
The ballad of nature waltzing
with a season's painted brush
