smell of lilac

smell of lilac

A Poem by Moushami Sha
"

This story is based on a girl who has lost her happiness once, and is longing to bring it back.

"
Dancing on the bare floor,
endeavoring to find my lost content.
Already penetrated misery,
never asked me for a consent!

The room was dark as pitch,
my sentiments also turned black.
What made me smile at that time,
was the smell of old lilac!

I couldn't recall who gave it to me,
but i could put a name to few things.
He or she was standing with me,
when everyone pierced my wings!

Those lilacs once advised me,
to overcome my stupendous fears.
I again  smelled those lilacs,
it made me smile through my tears.

Filled with melancholy but also some hope. Very powerful and emotional. You draw your reader in with your images. And the sadness of the words. Thank you for sharing.
