IN MEMORY OF...

IN MEMORY OF...

A Poem by Matt Thompson
"

I wrote this in memory of my best friend and hero who past away in 05. It's with sorrow I grieve, but in tears I remember.

"

IN MEMORY OF...
Mourn not, for my tears.
Although I weep in sorrow, missing you,
I cry, keeping your memory alive in me.
For your memory is the burning flame
that inspires me in my darkest of hours.
I agonize in loss over you,
but memories of you remind me,
your at rest in a better place.
You've saved my tears of sorrow,
so that someday they may wash me
in the sweetest of joy.

There will be a day,
when I see you at the top of the steps,
waiting for me.
Shackles of sorrow shall be replaced
with laughter and song.

But for now my friend,
I reflect on the life you touched.
Although I weep in sorrow,
I weep in memory of you.

When a beloved is dead, we actually weep for the lost companionship. Believing that this person has touched and changed many lives is a wonderful reflection we can ever get from the thought of death. Again, this is another moving piece. Whatta beautiful insight!
