WHEN SILENCE SCREAMSA Poem by Matt ThompsonWell, in case you haven't figured this out, this is the view point of a baby born addicted to cocaine. Mommy and daddy did drugs, and sadly didn't stop to think of the harm it would do to the child they conceived while on drugs.
A new life has just come into this world,
a mind loaded on Cocaine. Mother Nature weeps as machines pump life through my veins. All I want is for Mommy and Daddy to tuck me in at night, but Daddy's gone, and Mom has forsaken me. Every tear that flows down my face represents a promise broken and the reality of a dream lost. My life hangs in the Balance, and time is something that serves as a poison in my blood. Turn your head, Mommy and Daddy and show me no remorse for what you have done to me. Your temptation was entertained with venom and a needle mixed in with your lust to fuel the fire. Run away, for your guilt is around the corner, waiting to rape you. Your evil is like the kiss from Judas, a sealed death warrant. Every demon becomes a bounty hunter ready to take your soul. Silence shall scream, for God loves his silent, voiceless children. His agony shall scream rage one day, giving voice to those who cannot speak. Until then, silence shall scream silently as I await death. COPYRIGHT 1998: MATT THOMPSON © 2008 Matt ThompsonReviews
