MOMMY

MOMMY

A Poem by Matt Thompson

“MOMMY”
Mommy spread her legs
then aborted me like the 7 plagues.
Body parts lying in a bloody heap,
Death sinks in; I can’t make a peep.
Daddy is gone, denying his flesh and blood.
Limbs tossed in a bucket, I’m nothing more than biological mud.

Mommy Mommy, the evil man is draining life from me.
Mommy Mommy, I know I could love you unconditionally.
Mommy Mommy, we could have played games together.
But I guess you want to play games with other men that don’t involve me.
Mommy I’m so sorry the only time you’ll hold me is never.
It’s ok mommy, I’ll still love you forever.
