BELOVED

BELOVED

A Poem by Matt Thompson

"BELOVED"
Grief and sorrow attack
leaving my heart empty and black
French kiss the sorrows
impaled by emotional harrows.
Seeking your face:
but wallowing in disgrace.
Romantic and dying:
Passionate and crying.
Your caress I seek,
wanting to kiss the cheek
Desires to taste your womanhood,
fantasies say I should
but the fantasies are lies,
reality denies.
Alas, what one desires,
is desired not.
But what is desired, is still the beloved.
