DON'T JUDGE ME

DON'T JUDGE ME

A Poem by Mosunmola Adeniyi

You were never there for me at my worst
those times I had to battle that snuffing force
No single whisper of yours gave me a bid of trust
Yet you feed me my past to grease and nurse

Life was so clouded that I lost the breakthrough
earthy blindfolds i see unsafely far from the truth
could I have done this much with the likes of you?
Your sentiments my loathe; the morrow my soothe

If that night I struggled in dolor for your solace
and you sat careless about my fears and carriage
thinking my hopes were lost with nothing left to salvage
Save your breath now or run my race
