Fairy of late

Fairy of late

A Poem by Mosunmola Adeniyi

_

FAIRY OF LATE
Our dear god mother
Patent face
Sheltering her bluish cowpea eyes
With oil-like lips drawing a center circle
Flagging ears on a stand behind her heavily painted misery
Finely fixed toes shouldering her feet
With full strands on an itsy bitsy sway
Natural showers!
Ready-made cleavages in mask
Pulchritude!
Her daily tropical chunk
Dimple circles, stable marks
Twisted rolls beneath her flaps
Curly waves with dented views
Mercy wraps around as she stills the pop
