In A New Light

This is a poem for my best friend Landon. He has been there withg and for me through all the good and the bad and he is more supportive than anyone else. He means more to me than he could ever know.

In a new Light

 

How long will I go through life, with the blindfolds on?

How long will I keep denying everything that's wrong?

I need someone to watch over me

I need someone to help me see

I need a savior, a friend, a guide

to show me how to live, not hide.

 

Guardian angel, heal my soul

can you make my heart feel whole?

You have seen me at my worst, and always held my hand

through the good and through the bad, you’ve always helped me to stand.

You showed me how to love myself, and you showed me how to grow

You are my friend, my life and guidance, never let me go.

 

In dedication to my best friend, Landon New.
