Twisted DreamsA Poem by Morpheusliving in a dreamTwisted Dreams when I lay me down in bed late at night thoughts fill my mind, both wrong and right the sandman has brought me, internal screams total madness, inside my dreams while awake, I dream of a special one I have no right, absolutely none she is not mine, to give or to take she fell for me, with a love that is not fake my thoughts are twisted, tears and pain I daydream of her, standing in the rain she is crying, I make her sad why do I hurt her, I must be mad she has talked about, affairs of the heart I'm afraid our affair, will tear her apart I should remove myself, away from her world crawl back into mine, before lives are unfurled my dreams haunt me, but not the ones at night the ones in my concious world, in plain daylight I know I am wrong, I know I'm a fool should just walk away, pretend that I'm cool but deep down inside, I know I will ache either way I lose, this was a big mistake before my world, comes apart at the seams maybe tonite in my own twisted dreams I am lacking courage, at least so it seems inside my world, of my twisted dreams © 2010 Morpheus |
