Fairly upbeat and hopeful poem

Time for change

So never look back

Saying goodbye to regret

Goodbye to self-loathing

Hello to hope and opportunity

Though it’s a hard road

Climbing out of hell

Leaving my vices behind

Find a smile somewhere

Buried under all of my hatred

All my sorrow, all my disgust

Does love still exist

Somewhere down below

Hiding with my smiles and laughter

I see glimpses of it

Now and again

Hey everybody has a good day

There is some similar language in this one and another one of my poems. They were likely written around the same time; this one taking a lighter, more upbeat approach to the subject. Poems like this are fairly rare for me.
