Be Not The Thief, Oh Grief

Be Not The Thief, Oh Grief

A Poem by Morning Song

"

Ahhh, beautiful crying red, bleeding red, rose

Voice, of her own unique’d perfection,
While contained, therein, dwells this,
The thorns, of loss, of circumspection

Oh grief,
Intrude not, guide not, bequeath not,
Nor, be not, contentment’s thief
Nor take not, from a tranquil’d brow
This aching rainbow’d wreath
This gestation of, glorious peace
This oh, so treasure’d song
Of sleep

Let there be, be in thy stead
A most efficacious amulet.
A soft far reaching speck
Birth’d guietly ‘round a fragile’d neck
Guarding vigilantly her,
Floating gently, her,
As she’s bled, from the infancy
Of births cocoon’ing bed

And from thence,
Swaddled in pure enchantments keep,
Let her then triumphantly emerge from sleep,
This beautiful woman child,
Now pure, and now purged,
And now free’d, finally free’d,
Of thee.

And thus, she’s cradle’d,
Cradle’d bright
Far from sorrow’s fearsome plight

In this,
Her nursery
Of the night

As always my friend Jerry you work is above fantastic!

I did read the link that you sent to me and I thank you so very much for remembering. I sometimes feel as if I am a ghost within the halls of what had always been my home. Remembered maybe. Fondly? I hope so. Easily put aside and rediculed with hate mail from what had always been family a door I had to shut. I thank you for understanding.

Hugs and Love,
Lesa
