Look into my eye's

Look into my eye's

A Poem by MoriartyMesa
"

drop a coin in my box

"
Drop a coin in my box,
my eye's see through all lies,
my eye's will tell your past,
my eye's will see your soul,

now drop a coin in the box.

Tell me what you see?
Tell me the secrets mortals beg upon worthless prayers to their gods!
What does this Son of a mortal Man seek?
Riddles?
Glory of War?
The true passions of a woman?
Tales of  The Underwold?

Drop your coin into the wooden box,

ask your self the riddle of your soul,
look into my eyes,
tell me what you see?

Bounds of ideals,
steal,
iron,
they grip the man of earth!

Fields of man burning?
Brother fighting brother?
Fire of faith screaming confessions?

Look into my eyes!

TELL ME WHAT YOU SEE!
Troy  burning with Greek Fire?
A city in fire ,
strings of a fiddle played  by a mad man?

No!
No, this is not what the coin begs,
the coin begs a truth,
the coin is the master,
but these eye's!

These eye's see more than what the coin begs!
These eye's go the truth,
these eye's know your nightmares,
these eye's see your weakness,
these eye's see the pain,
the lies,
the lusts,
the grief,
the evil,
but the coin wants a single truth.

THESE EYE'S.
THESE EYE'S SEE FEAR!!!!

drop another coin in the box,
and look into my eye's....

I love this, it reminds me of that fortune teller machine down on the pier, with those eerie glass eyes. I have had nightmares about those eyes. The fortunes it gives are no more than pre-printed cards being hurled from a slot, yes, but I can't help but take them a little more seriously when I have that creepy a*s face looking down on me. Great write.

Wow! This is the best I've read from you so far. Powerful!... The eyes see it all. Excellent work! Unique format.

This is powerful poetry. Direct and honest statements making the reader think. I had to read twice for the pleasure of the words. Thank you for the excellent poem.
