Ah... This is that colonial game. Rugby in body armour. Being Enlglish I shouldn't really like it, let alone undestand it. Yet damn it I just got caught up in it. Still no idea who won, but I bloody loved it
I know this woman, vereeeee intelligent, studied English at Oxford University, vereeeee clever. She loves theatre this woman does. Writes reviews she does. Loves drama. And yet... She hates sport, just loathes it. Now I think there is something wrong with her world view. Why? Because were -- short of war -- can a man or a woman find greater human drama than on the sporting field. I mean just look at all those beautiful verbs in your recollection - RUN/DIVE/JUMP/HURL/SMASH. THAT! is drama. Great write mate! DRAMATIC! Exciting.
