The Black Cat

The Black Cat

A Poem by Moosy
"

A short poem I got inspiration for at 3:30AM, looking at the top of my dresser and seeing what looked like a black cat.

"
There he is again,
The black cat, stalking through the night
Looking for an alley he deems alright
Waiting for the arrival of another
The next cat arrives, and soon they begin
Moving slowly, watching the other
They negotiate, the cat talks, hiding his grin.
After the exchange, they part ways and leave the gutter
There goes the black cat, Stalking through the night.
The red and blue lights never seemed so bright.
There goes the black cat, running through the streets
They're beckoning the black cat, offering him treats.
There goes the black cat, down with a bang.
The sound hits the walls, echoing a clang.
There's the black cat, lying on the ground.
The fate he received, for avoiding the pound.
