4 months had passed since Nova became a consort to Prince Stolas of the Ars Goetia, since he and his wife Stella were about to be divorced, it was her idea to take a consort from a low ranking member and that was Nova, the daughter of a President. But instead of being met with coldness and disgust like at other homes, she was welcomed with kindness by the owl prince, ever since he found out she was the very young lady who had saved his daughter when she had wandered away from home. Stolas had nothing but a gentle nature for Nova since she arrived. But Stella still disgust and jealously for the young woman that she got along so well with him better than she ever could.

In the time, Nova felt happy and safe for the first time in her life. She didn't mind Stolas's arrangement with Blitz, the imp was starting to grow on her a bit even. But her feelings for Stolas were growing, she loved how much she had learned from him, even if they weren't ready to sleep together she enjoyed his lessons about the cosmos and herbal plants, but could feel something in her wanting to become more with him than what she was. Even as she saw Stella's cruel nature towards him, Nova knew he didn't deserve what she was saying and doing to him, but one night was going to change things.

Crowds had gathered at the Goetia palace for yet another party Stella was hosting, everyone who is a somebody was there of the Goetia name. Nova had slipped down to the kitchen to get a cup of tea before going back to her room, she peaked put to look at the party, more than anything she wanted to join to be among other guests like this, but she remembered one of Stella's rules 'Don't you DARE show up at a party I'm hosting' if she broke that rule, Stella would destroy her in many ways. Nova stayed out of sight as she just looked on.

“Just once, I want to go to one of these without the fear of Stella being around looming over me.” Nova told herself, her eyes sadden as she looks at her reflection in the cup, let out a sigh as she looked back over the crowd, listening to them talk, she saw them in their finest attire, how regal and graceful they seemed to be. She took one last peak out.

“What's the point of going to those? I'd just embarrass myself.” Nova whispered to herself. Her steps were silent as she walked away from the kitchen. As she came down the hall where her room was she heard a loud clattering sound echoing through the hall. Nova followed the sound to Octavia's room.

She peaked into the room and could see Octavia sitting at her vanity mirror with Stolas standing behind her helping with her hair. The teen looked like she wanted to kill something at how unhappy she looked.

“I'm not going to Mother's party dad! All of those bird-brains that are there are so snobbish and boring, it's not even my kind of party.” Octavia complained to him. Stolas let out a sigh as he removed Octavia's hat and straightened out her hair a bit.

“I know my owlet, but your mother is expecting us to make an appearance. Not to mention that aunts and uncles will be there and want to see you, you can at least say 'hi' to them, it's been ages to them.” said Stolas. Octavia groaned and rolled her eyes.

“Fine, but I'm not wearing the dress!” said Octavia as she pointed over to a pink multi layer dress.

“I will tell them you have to study so you can make your escape. They know how important royal duties are so they will believe that.” Stolas told his daughter, he heard a light knock on the door-frame and saw Nova standing there. He lightly smiled as he saw her.

“Being force to go to this little get together I take it Octavia?” Nova asked her. Octavia looked over at her.

“With great disdain, wait, aren't you coming?” Octavia asked. Nova shook her head to say no.

“Sadly, your right, no, your mother would kill me if she found out I broke one of her top three rules.” Nova said with a nervous tone in her voice.

“With the exception of Octavia, she doesn't like any lady who is prettier than her to attend, yet she so insistent to throw these kinds of parties at my own home.” Stolas complained as he rolled his eyes. Nova smirked before she hid a laugh.

“Then she's in trouble, because all I could see were beautiful women.” Nova said. Octavia cracked a smile.

“Inner beauty or outer?” Octavia asked. Both adults did their best to not burst out laughing out loud. Stolas was trying his best to not fall over from laughing. Octavia saw how hard he was laughing.

You know it's true dad.” Octavia added. Stolas composed himself before he turned his attention back to his daughter.

“Heaven knows when it comes to inner beauty, because your mother is quiet blind. But alas some of them are our relatives and we cannot chose our blood kin.” said Stolas as he brushed Octavia's hair/feathers. Then a thought came into the teens mind.

“Isn't uncle Andrealphus going to be there?” Octavia asked. Stolas felt a rock in his stomach and gave an internal groan at the thought of Stella's brother being at this party, he hated his brother in-law more than his soon to be ex-wife.

“Oh if he is, I'll warm up my flame thrower.” said Nova. Stolas gave a hidden smile at the image of that. But an familiar screeching voice snapped him out of it.

“The f**k are you three doing?” Nova jumped at the voice, they all turned to see Stella standing in the door-frame, looking angry, but that was normal for her.

“We are preparing Octavia to look her best for tonight.” Stolas answered as he rolled his eyes and waved the hair brush around. The peahen stormed in to look over her daughter, shoulder-checking Nova as she walked past her.

“Her best?! She hasn't even changed her outfit yet-” Stella was starting to shout before she was cut off by her daughter.

“I'm not wearing the dress mom.” said Octavia. Stella's brows became raised and her anger was growing when she heard what her daughter had told her.

“You're what?! You are wearing that dress or so help me-” Stella was about to scream at her when Nova stepped between the two, trying to calm things down.

“If she doesn't want to wear it Stella don't force her! Your daughter is almost an adult, and yet you still insist on treating her like a child, she is not that small anymore.” Nova stated to Stella. The peahen narrowed her gaze upon the young woman in front of her.

“I don't recall asking for your opinion, you're just a live in bed mate for my weak husband last I checked.” the cold tone in Stella's voice was clear as she turned Nova to her own gaze.

“MOM! That's incredibly rude!” Octavia shouted at her mother. Stolas stepped in before things were about to get more out of hand.

“We'll be downstairs in 5 minutes Stella. You should return to our guests before they wonder where you are.” said Stolas in calm manner. Stella narrowed her sights on him.

“I'll be timing you! And you!” Stella growled as she pointed to her daughter.

Look like like a lady for once!” she added before storming off and slamming the door behind her causing everyone to jump. Octavia gave the middle finger to her mother's direction as she left, glaring at the door. Stolas rubbed his head.

“You heard the crone, time to look more lady-like.” Stolas sighed as he looked at his daughter. He then turned to Nova.

Are you alright though?” He asked her. Nova smiled.

“Just fine, I envisioned myself slapping her and destroying her dress to keep myself from going off.” Nova answered. Stolas just smiled.

“I envy your resolve dear.” said Stolas. Nova walked over to the other side of the vanity.

“Besides, she doesn't even know that we're not sleeping together, so jokes on her.” Nova pointed out.

“I still can't believe she said that.” said Octavia as what her mother had just said rang out in her head. But then again her mother had always been a bit cruel to those who she thought were beneath her.

“I am not entirely surprised. She always sees the worst in others, even when there are none to be found.” said Stolas as he picked up an elegant crown and placed it on-top of Octavia's head before he smiled at a memory it had brought up.

Remember when you tried to play with this as a hatchling? Even though this was larger than you, you were determined to wear it, or eat it, that was a little hard to tell.” added Stolas. Octavia gave a small laugh at what her father had told her.

“Kind of, I do remember it being shiny, and I always did go for shiny things as a kid.” Octavia answered.

“Indeed, the world seemed so much brighter then.” Stolas said with a smile.

“I think it was too.” agreed Nova. When it came time for Octavia to put her dress on, Nova offered to help her get it on. After tightening a few ribbons on the corset part of the dress, the teen stepped out from behind the door of her closet, looking very angry and trying to get comfortable in the garment but to no avail.

“I can't believe I have to wear this walking cake disaster of a dress.” Octavia groaned, she almost tripped walking back out to her vanity.

Please let me burn this when I get it off dad.” Octavia added.

“I'm sure we can trim a few....dozen layers of the skirt, then we can burn it afterwards.” Stolas told his daughter, Octavia looked hopeful. Nova had another idea though.

“If you want Via, we could go dress shopping, I know some places that have great outfits that will make you look more lady-like without the poofyness of what your mother calls dresses.” suggested Nova. Octavia looked at her, and gave a small smile towards her.

“Really? That.....that sound pretty cool actually, can I go with Nova dad?” Octavia asked him.

“Of course you may my little starfire, I trust the both of you to be responsible.” Stolas answered warmly.

“I'm still surprised that you still trust me with Via, Stolas.” Nova spoke with a nervous manner. Stolas looked towards Nova with a warm softness in his eyes.

“I have not forgotten how you first came into our lives lady Nova.” Stolas told her warmly. The two remembered the day, when Octavia was little she had slipped out of the gates of the palace, only the learn the Extermination was starting early that year and she was out in the middle of it, but Nova had found her and the two found shelter with Arnora and her daughter Lyssa, both hell hounds and were friends to Stolas. When that day was over, Nova brought Octavia back home to her worried father.

“You don't have to keep calling me lady Nova every time. Also I ran off when I noticed who you were when I brought Via, mostly because I was afraid.” said Nova. She was 15 at the time she saved Octavia, and her meeting a tall prince then was a bit intimidating for her.

“I remember, but never the less I am still grateful for what you did.” replied Stolas with a warm smile towards her. He placed a few finishing touches on Octavia's hair.

There, you look perfect.” Stolas told his daughter. Octavia looked at herself in the mirror and tried to crack a smile before turning to her father.

“Thanks dad.” said Octavia. The two left the room with Nova following them, but instead of heading back downstairs with them she turned to return to her own room, she hid a slight bit of disappointment for not being able to go, but she dared not risk Stella's anger, it was the last she ever wanted to do.

At the party, Octavia stood near her mother as she heard her talking to some of her so called friends and other nobles. Stolas kept an eye on her not far from them, listening to this soon to be ex wife talking and bad mouthing whatever was on her mind for that time.

“It's so hard to get my daughter dressed for these kinds of parties, I swear it's like pulling teeth. And Stolas doesn't offer much help either, I swear he'd rather our daughter look like someone who just walked out of the thrift store than look like a real lady.” Stella told her friends.

“I swear teenagers today are so ungrateful.” an elderly raven noble lady spoke.

“You have no idea, and that consort had the nerve to tell me to treat my daughter like an adult, when she starts to act like it I just might. Can you believe what that consort was trying to tell me what to do?” Stella spoke, a few nobles nodded.

“Honestly I can't even believe she even spoke to you in that manner anyway.” said a crane noble man.

“I'm surprised you've kept her as long as you have. Such incompetence from the staff who vex even a saint.” a red-tailed hawk noble spoke out. Octavia wanted to throw a drink at each other their faces and tell them to screw off. She could also see her father, his feathers ruffling higher and higher as Stella spoke about his daughter and Nova, his eyes glaring at the peahen.

“She's more of a bed-mate for Stolas since I don't want to f**k his scrawny twig a*s anymore, don't have to worry about a half-sibling from her at least, plus she gets to all the boring stuff with him that I don't want to, it's a win for me at least.” said Stella as she took a glass from a tray passing by as a servant walked passed.

I mean, isn't that the job of a consort, to w***e around with a man weaker than herself.” Stella added as she took a drink. Octavia couldn't hold her anger back anymore. She slammed her fist on the table they were near, Stella and the those she was talking with became startled. Octavia glared at her mother.

“What makes her weaker than you mom?!” Octavia shouted. Stolas noticed and heard his daughter shouting. “Octavia? Oh dear.” Stolas told himself. Stella stared her daughter down, since when did she stand up for a low-blood like Nova.

“What, did you just say to me, young lady?” Stella asked, the anger in her voice was clear, but Octavia wasn't going to back down, she wasn't going to get bullied by her mother.

“I think you heard me, Nova isn't weak, you are! You're always cruel to dad and to me! And for what? Some sick kick you get out of it, especially with dad!” Octavia shouted at her mother. Everyone turned to look at them as Stolas quickly made his way through the crowd, he placed himself between his daughter and Stella before things got any more out of hand.

“Ladies calm down. We will settle this matter later.” Stolas tried to make peace between them.

“No dad! I'm tired of her talking about you and Nova like that!” Octavia exclaimed. Stolas placed his hands on his daughter's shoulders to try and calm her temper. Stella sneered at them.

“Seems your daughter has been hanging out with that w***e consort of yours too much Stolas because she's gotten a spine, and I KNOW she didn't get from you.” Stella sneered at him. Stolas quickly turned on the peahen and narrowed his gaze to her.

“At least Nova never abandoned our hatchling outside shortly before the Extermination!” snapped Stolas. Everyone gasped and started to whisper among each other with what they had just heard. Stella started to growl when that day was brought up.

“How dare you even bring that up, let alone say it!” Stella hissed.

“You were too busy taking tea with your ‘friends’ right there that you never noticed our little daughter had wandered off. Even though YOU KNEW I had to be away that day at the hell council. It was lady Nova who found her and kept her safe even if it meant risking her life. Our child is alive because of her and you owe her more respect than Lucifer himself!” Stolas shouted his feathers flared up as he spoke. More murmurs came from the crowd.

“Really? I owe her no such respect, just like you. I only took her out of pity, because no other member of Ars Goetia would touch her, and to keep you from embarrassing us further with that imp of yours!” Stella snapped back at him.

I owe her as much respect to her as I do you, which is NONE!” she added. Octavia stood in front of her father, wanting to claw her mother's eyes out.

“And you think you deserve any respect at all mom?! After what you just said?!” Octavia nearly screamed at her.

Stolas thought over what to say next, normally he would find a way to change the topic or slide the argument so she would resort to race off screaming on her own time. But this was different, she was on the warpath. Both his wife and daughter. He had to think of someway to silence them somehow. Then he recalled how his lover Blitz would divert the conversation with a few chosen words, a wink and a grin. He had learned well from him, and a grin came over the owl prince's face.

“Since you're so insistent that I sleep with Nova, Stella, perhaps it is time I do take her into my bed, she will be far better company than your frigid corpse that you call your body. Not to mention with her, I won't need to slip a metric ton of fertilization herbs, like I had to with you on the night we conceived Octavia.” Stolas told her with a smirk. Octavia tried to hide her face. While her mother's was bright red.

“YOU SWORE YOU'D NEVE- YOU WHAT?!” Stella screeched at him. Everyone in the room was trying not to laugh at what they had just heard. Stella could hear a few of her guests talking.

“Really? A fertility herb boost? Didn't think she ever needed that.”

“She claimed Stolas was bad in bed, maybe it was her all this time.” A few sounds of laughter came through the crowd. Stella could even see Octavia trying not to laugh at her as well. She stormed right up to her daughter and her husband.

“You damn embarrassments!” Stella growled as she grabbed Octavia's face, pull it right up to her own.

I brought you into this world and I can easily take you out of it, you will not embarrass me like your pathetic father already has with us!” Stella added the rage clear in her voice. Octavia pulled her mother's hand off her face.

“You mean he's embarrassed you?!” Octavia shouted back.

“You dare take his side over-” Stella was cut off when Stolas used his cloak to swirl around his daughter, pulling her away from her mother. The teen looked up as her father kept a protective hold on her. “Dad?” Octavia started to ask, but his focus was more on Stella. All four of his eyes were red, both women knew he was really mad now.

“‘You may have laid the egg, but I was the one who assured she hatched and survive as long as she has. You are a pathetic excuse for a mother!” Stolas snarled at her. He then turned his owl head towards the other guests who had gone silent.

This evening has come to a close. Finish your drinks and depart from MY PALACE at once! You too Stella.” Stolas told the guests.

“You're throwing me out?! I AM YOUR WIFE!!” shouted Stella, as the guests quickly and quietly started to file out. Stolas stared her down, in her twisted mind she thought they would get back together.

“Separated. Remember? Until the divorce is finalized that is. I'm sure your parents or one of your 'friends' will be willing to house you.” Stolas reminded her.

“Fine! But when my brother hears about this, you are going to pay, both of you!” Stella snapped. She stormed towards the front door with a few remaining guests before turning back and glaring daggers at her so called husband and now her back-stabber of a daughter. Turning on her heel Stella turned back towards the door and slammed it hard. She was gone, leaving Stolas and his daughter in the foyer alone. Octavia looked at her father with worry.

“Dad, would she really try to hurt us, or worse?” asked Octavia. Stolas knelt down to her and hugged her tightly. There was no telling how far Stella would go to hurt him, but it would over his own dead body if she hurt one feather on their daughter's head. He nearly lost her once because of Stella, he would not lose her again.

“Whatever happens next, I will keep you safe.” promised Stolas. He felt his daughter hug him back.

“I know dad, you and aunt Arnora both will.” said Octavia thinking of her hell-hound godmother, her father's best friend. Arnora was strong as she carried the blood on Finrir, but knew how to use to her temper when the time came.

But did you really give mom a ton of fertility herbs when you uhhhhh......” Octavia tried to ask when she looked up and saw Stolas's face turning bright red.

It had already become late at night, well after midnight. Stolas had hard time falling asleep as the parties events and Stella's cruel words still echoed in his mind and rung like a loud bell. He rubbed his face and dawned his red robe to go downstairs. He looks around the darkened kitchen, seeing the stray glasses that had yet to be washed and bottles that had yet been put up. The sight of a stray absenth caught his eye, the green bottle was still mostly full.

“Don't need much, just a few gulps should do, just to help me get back to sleep, and maybe drown out Stella's voice.” Stolas told himself as he picked up the bottle. As he took some gulps, he heard a gentle voice from the hall-way.

“Stolas? Is that you?” he knew that was Nova's voice. He spat out the drink almost choking on it when he looked back up to see Nova in the entrance to the kitchen. Startled at the sight of her, Stolas ran and hid in a nearby pantry, he didn't want to face her, mostly for the shame he had heard from his ex wife.

“Stolas, are you alright?” Nova asked she rushed to the pantry, she placed her hands on the door in hopes of hearing him.

Stolas, please try and talk to me, was the party that bad?” she asked him again. The owl prince shuttered and gulped back tears, he dare not answer her of what Stella had said about her, he knew it would shatter her. He just stayed silent. Nova didn't leave the door, she placed her hand on the wood of the pantry door.

“Please, Stolas, don't shut me out.....not now.....” Nova spoke through the door. She waited to see if he would speak to her, but a few minutes passed and he didn't dare say anything. But she still spoke to him in hopes of reaching him.

“I don't know what Stella told you, nor do I care, just talk to me like before....just, don't shut me out.....you're the first Goetia who didn't throw me out after the first night in their home, and.....I've opened up to you in a way as well......I'm.....starting to wonder if I.....truly deserve the kindness you've actually shown you....” Nova said to him.

She remembered the one thing that might help him, her voice, Nova would sometimes sing when she felt horrible in doing so her voice grew in grace and became stronger. She stepped back from pantry door a little bit and took a few deep breaths to calm her mind, and find the right words to sing.

“It's easy to, push me away from you. Easy to say, you want to be left on your own...” Nova started to softly sing a beautiful melody. Stolas's heart jumped into his throat as he heard the musical voice through the thin pantry door, he slowly opened the door and looked out to see her standing there. Nova kept singing.

“Yet somehow I can't help but see, how your eyes shy away.” Her gaze met his as her words carried a song he had never heard before, only for him to shyly turned away. Nova reached out to the hand she could see on the door.

Your hands seal the entrance and path to your heart. Anger kept fear and the sadness you feel, under the surface for so long, locked that room, you keep it inside.” Nova kept singing as she placed her hand on his own. Stolas felt skin and feathers tingle at the touch of her hand. His fingers recoiled in surprise, only to find themselves becoming intertwined with her own instead.

Nova smiled at him as she gently pulled him out of the pantry. Her voice carrying the notes as she kept singing.

“Lend me your voice, words you try to hard to forget, they'll break through the silence.” Nova sang as she lead him out of the kitchen and down the halls, her voice carrying through the large Palace.

Bring me close, let me see the past you regret, deep down below, show it all.” she sang as she guided him through the halls. He followed her in the ball room where Stella held her party. Nova sang a melody as she waltzed around the large ornate chandelier. The moonlight from the windows made the crystals glimmer like distant stars. Stars that Stolas notice reflecting in the young woman's eyes as she came back around.

'Have her eyes always held such sparkle to them?' Stolas thought to himself. She stopped near him.

“It's not so hard, living all by yourself.” Nova sang as she turned to look at a portrait of Stolas in regal attire.

It isn't hard, yes I know that's what you'll say.” she continued as she brushed the painting with her fingers. Stolas followed her gaze to the portrait, only for him to quickly look away. The man in the painting was a stranger to him, a stranger that bore his face, but not his soul.

It's what you have told yourself, over and over again, in darkness.” Nova sang as she noticed how sad he seemed. She walked over to him “You try to hold back all the thoughts.” she sang. Then she reached her hand out to him, and gently takes it and looks at him with a kindness he had never known before

“But you know, I just want you as you are.” She sang with a smile at him.

Just the you that I see right before, it's all that has been on my mind.” sang Nova.

Stolas stared deeply into her glimmering lavender night eyes as she sang, the warmth of her touch radiated through their hands as it reached up his arms, threatening to warm his chest and heart. The songs climax as approaching, as it did a burst of magic filled the room, lighting it up with a warm light. Their outfits had changed as well, Stolas could see he was wearing what he had worn at Ozzie's on his date with Blitz but it seemed brighter and cleaner. While Nova's outfit had changed into a dress that seemed to take his breath away as he looked at her.

In that moment he pulled her close to himself. One hand set itself around her waist, while the other continued to hold her hand. He began to move to his birdlike feet in a careful precise waltz, taking her along into the dance. Nova's voice seemed to sound like an aria as she kept singing.

“Lend me your voice, let me see your face, let me start, to show you what I see.” She sang as she followed his lead as they danced.

Bring me close, let me feel the beat of your heart, the secret you bury.” she continued, the entirety of the room seemed to disappear, leaving only an empty sky lit only by the colorful jewel like stars, and stardust trailing behind them as they waltzed over them. She sang as loud as she could as they waltz through the skies.

“Lend me your voice. Anything you want to say I'll be right here, I'll listen so tell me. Open the door, let me come sit by the fire, just let me come close, to, your heart.” Nova sang the last notes.

All four of Stolas's eyes closed as he held her close to him and their dance slowed. He felt her warmth sink into his own chilled frame and gave him warmth from within. A small smile crept upon his face while the song lingered his ears, the words spoke to him in ways he never thought before. Nova feels herself blush being held so close to Stolas as the room returned to normal.

“I....I don't know what came over me.” said Nova as she felt her feet touch the floor once again.

Did you....feel something too, like a spark?” she added. Stolas held her close as he nuzzled his beak into her hair/feathers.

“I think, I felt my heart beat again.” answered Stolas. Nova looked up at him, puzzled that she made him feel this way when he had his lover Blitz.

“I thought you'd felt this way with Blitz, don't get me wrong he's got some rough edges, but I thought he was the only one who made you feel this way.” Nova told him. She could see Stolas's smile fade slightly.

“Physically he's very stimulating, but when I try to be romantic he seems....distracted.” Stolas told her. She had felt that, tried to romantic with others, only for them to be distracted themselves and push her away from them.

“I know that feeling, I'd get my hopes up upon arriving at a new palace or estate, thinking it would be better than the last, only to be met with the door after one night, not even making to the bedroom, never had romance in my life.” said Nova as she pulled away from him, looking hurt at the memories her arms wrapping around herself.

That's when I starting to think, it's better to be alone, passed to one member of the Goetia to the next, none of them giving a damn, I truly was alone.” she added, trying to hide her tears. Stolas somehow felt her pain as well, being around and living up to others expectations like his father. But no one truly caring about him, not even Stella. Stolas found himself reaching out to her.

“You're not a toy, Nova, you never were.” Stolas told her. She had never heard anyone tell her that before, she let some tears fall before she turned back to try and face him again. He was the first Goetia who didn't see her as other had before.

“You're the....first one who....actually cared about me.....who didn't.....toss me out, even after finding out everything....my past....my condition, that's what always got me thrown out....” Nova spoke as she tried not to cry, but she could feel herself about to break down, from hearing such words from anyone.

For the first time in my entire life, someone like you, looked my way.....and actually cared....” she added. Stolas could see diamond like drops on the floor, then he saw they were from her eyes. She couldn't hold her tears back any longer. He stepped closer to her and wrapped his long arms around her. Nova felt his warmth.

“Go on and cry dear maiden. Let that pain drain away from you, your heart will be so much lighter once all the tears have fallen. I will not leave you in the cold.” Stolas told her. With hesitancy, Nova started to wrap her arms around him.

The first time someone has ever told me that.....that they would never leave me....” Nova sobbed as she buried her face into his chest feathers. The two stayed like that for a few minutes, she had never felt a connection like this before to anyone.

'I want to be more than a consort, but how can I be....?' thought Nova, to most that's all she ever was, yet she yearned to be much more, at least to the one who showed her since kindness when others had not, she took a bit of courage before she spoke up again.

“Stolas I......I want to be more to you, more than just a consort to you.....if that's possible for me to become more to you than what I am now.” said Nova. Did she really want to be something more to him? He gently stroked her hair and softly smiled.

“You already mean a lot to me, even before you came to work in this house. I promise to keep you safe.” Stolas vowed, true she had never felt safe in any home before coming here. She softly smiled at the words he spoke to her

“You've already done so much for me, I can't even begin to-” she couldn't finish what she wanted to say, her emotions were already so much stronger. He felt her shuttering in his embrace. Stolas thought, that maybe one day Nova could really be even more to him, so much more than Stella ever has been to him, he was just going to have to wait for the right timing, to see how she would be to this new life.
