TimeA Poem by Heart Of The Shattered
The hour which the sun is red,
And some animals go to bed. When the clouds are pink, And then the sky is swallowed in ink. The bonny owl hoots its call, The city is covered in a grey shawl. But the black dog lets out a long rueful howl. The stars tonight I cannot see. These city lights are bright, all I can do though is let it be. As I see the morning light, The golden rays of forbidding might. The playful whispers of the tree's And the clouds slightly tease. How I wish to feel the warm And change it from reality to art form, But instead I'm locked inside And simply cast aside. The starlight I wish to see. I want to stop this and be a key. © 2013 Heart Of The Shattered |
