Part In Silence

Part In Silence

A Poem by Nabeela Mobashwer

Silent has it been
The parting memories of our last days
Hidden was it kept
The tears and fear of our farewell.

The love was lost
Swayed away to nothingness
By a silent gust of wind;
Painful were the days
When i sat by the windows
Searching for answers in darkness
You didn't say a word, when we were falling apart
You didn't come around, when i strode off for a new start.
I wanted you to come, I waited for you to stop me
But you remained silent, and quietly watched me leave.

You had words to tell me
You had confessions to make
Even though you will never admit it
I know it just by looking at your face.

Harder the wounds boiled
In this silent turmoil
I wish you would not let it loose
In a test of love so royal.
This doesn't fade my faith
I know your love still stands strong
I just hope it would come out in words
And stop me from moving on alone.
You're love is in my heart,
Mine is in yours
Just the love that we showed to the world
Got lost in its chaos.

I like writing. It feels like an escape, a solace that I find in nothing else. I don't write too well, but whatever I do, it's all instinctive :) more..
