FRIENDSHIP

 

 

What is friendship when it stales the mind?

And hateful speculation thus assign.

That corrupts the soul like acid rain

On nature’s best, offered gifts; falls so much pain

 

When friendship is found on sacred ground,

So much love, so much love abound

That banner flies from heaven high

It melts away contrary sigh.

 

Friendship is love has kind words

And greaves not the heart it can’t affords.

Neither flaunts ones downfall to open shame

Nor use deception to rob ones aim

 

A search for friendship with a pure heart

Through the fear of God one can impart

Tender love, faithful with truth

Thus friendship certainly will takes root.

A wonderful poem indeed. What I get from this poem is that friendship is sort of hallow grounds and should be treated as such where both sides live in the fear and love of God and work for the best of both sides with protection and helping hands. Friendship should be free from evil and stabbing in the back so to speak...Bravo
