THE LAST MAN STANDING

THE LAST MAN STANDING

A Poem by Rose of many colours
"

A war is on , who is willing to fight.

"

THE LAST MAN STANDING

There’s a war raging

How many on the line standing?

Free the drug addicts

And them that hit against the pricks.

Tis last man standing

Who’s on the line fighting?

One thousand and two thousand men

Sword in hand sends to defend

Armoured up the war aren’t end

Free from death abused children.

Tis last man standing

Who’s on the line fighting?

Turn around that aren’t bound

Lest you be confound

By the thief the killer on the loose

Free the man, free the man from booze.

Tis last man standing

Who’s on the line fighting?

no enough are willing to fight...this isn't the sixties anymore..

many just turn away stick to their own little worlds...thinking.."as long as i am okay"---

very sad....a poignant, powerful piece of poetry.

Thanks for reading your comments are so true.. God bless great writer
Wow. A powerful social write. All these social ills are affecting so many individuals, families and the society at large. All these addictions are enriching some crooks , theieves and criminals but not enriching our lives and souls. I abstain from all of that but the media always are glamorising these things. No wonder the jails are full...Bravo for speaking up...:).......................

I understand...You are welcome...:).............
A call to battle with a sense of the urgency and the vanity of life as well.
The last man standing was standing on a cross...
He has held the line and the victory is already won.
Who is willing to fly the colors of the Victor?
Enthusiastic tone and a fine challenge.
