Sharing the Golem

This is an excerpt from a Harry Potter fan-fic I'm working on. In this scene the main character is revealing a brand new concept to the Wizarding. Your feedback is totally welcome, it'll help me grow.

A bright light invades the dark space and explodes out. "Woaw!" The dazzling  light trickles down to a tolerable level and the scene becomes clearer. "You know, I don't know if I'll ever get use to that." A large curtain slowly flows open revealing a spacious arena for exploration, discovery and experimentation. Kelly: "You know I can set you up with something like this if you like," the words coast beyond Kelly's smile to Roman's disillusioned face.

Rowan: "You tease on purpose, you know I have no use for this. You shouldn't have this, there are so many reasons why I'll pass on you setting me up." Still looking around in disbelief Rowan finally settles close by Kelly's seat. Kelly pulls out something wrapped in cloth tied at the top with a rope. 

Rowan: "Is this another one of those crazy Kelly bags?" Reluctantly, Rowan asks. Placing the rope on the ground opening the bag, Kelly shakes his head and presents his friend with a wide Kelly Cheshire gleam.

Kelly: "Thanks to Prof. McGonagall we're standing on something grand here Rowan. Have you seen anything like this before? Take a good look," Kelly continues to remove the bag from around this mystery item.

Rowan: "It looks like a statue, more like a stone gargoyle or golem," head cooked to the side Rowan scratches his head. "I see this stone golem but I don't see why it has you so worked up. Was this a gift, did you find it or buy it from somewhere and what does McGonagall have to do with anything?!" Roman's anxiety rises with his questions until Kelly breaks the barrage. 

Kelly: "Piertotum Locomotor…" almost as if afraid to escape the words wisps off Kelly's lips to his frazzled friend and solid stone companion. Silence held tight the air as if saving a space for a friend. 

Minute crumbles of stone crack the silence as the golem shakes, jerks, hunches over then takes a step heavy as wait of this harvest. Kelly: "Do you see now Ro, tell me I'm not alone here!?" The golem now walking paces along the platform, small in stature but full scale of any other statue. Its shoulders bobbed with every step with each foot lurching, scuffing along the ground. 

Rowan: "This is crazy" 

Kelly: "This is amazing. We have a lot of work ahead of ourselves." Brimming with glee and accomplishment the glow on Kelly's face seem to brighten the room. Rowan: thinking(No matter what we go through he always seems to top the last adventure. This guy is gonna be the death of me...but he looks so bright, its like looking at the sun)

Kelly: "....and we can go from there, so are you ready to start?" Kelly is now across the way on one side of a larger platform with now two golem smiling waving Rowan over. Rowan: (Thats Kelly) "I'm coming but would you mind starting at why you're over there?"

Kelly repeats everything to Rowan explaining his plan for the golem bot fights[Loco Moto] and then teaches him the basics of the enchantment. Afterwards Kelly convinces Rowan he's ready for a few mach matches.

Kelly: "Okay so for starters stay right there while I set the stage. Protego Maximo." As the barrier forms around the smaller platform Kelly continues. 

                       Kelly: "Alright Rowan the golem are enchanted and are activated on intention almost like Wizarding chess, this is just a little more user friendly and intuitive. Take your time and move a few steps." 

Both golem leap back to their places. Kelly: "See, its not that bad are you ready for a match?" Excitement leaps from Kelly's face hoping Rowan humors him. Rowan: "Would it matter even I said no, you're worst than Flitwick sometimes but we won't grow if we don't go. 

Kelly: "We go until somebody cracks," 

Rowan: "Ha ha ha you're already there, guess I win by default!"

Kelly: "I hope you're ready, no guides this time!" Smiling harder than ever Kelly almost leaps out of his shoes. Kelly: "Go!"

Rowan: "Lennox you never cease to amaze me. Seriously, you're either going to be famous or in Azkaban. I'm glad we're friends." 

Kelly throws his arm around Rowans neck as they walk back to the entrance. Kelly: " You are one of a kind Ro, I'm glad we're friends to. I'd even call us brothers." 

Rowan: "Let's go eat."

Kelly: "I'm starving." Both laugh together as the scene fades out while they walk.
